Overview

As a volunteer you will become a key member of the Retail Operations working closely with the Shop Management Team.  You will receive a full Induction as well as the provision of effective training in the many tasks / activities associated with being a Retail Assistant.  These range from working in the ‘Sorting Department’ (sorting through donations, identifying which ones are saleable, merchandising them as well as effectively pricing them) to working on the Shop Floor (working at the Electrical Point Of Sale (EPOS) i.e. the till, serving customers, providing good customer service and meeting the needs of the customers).  Whilst on the Shop Floor you will also be responsible for working with the Team to optimise sales by effectively merchandising items for sale and creating effective interior and window displays.  Your role will be very much Team based and offers the chance for you to build on your self-esteem and confidence.
