Role Profile
Our cadets take part in weekly cadet meetings, social action projects, and local initiatives aimed at raising the profile of young people in the county and giving them an insight into policing.
As a cadet leader, you will help us by supporting our team and mentoring the young people who take part.
You will learn about the different areas of policing such as task force, dog section, road policing unit, and other operational teams and help to deliver this knowledge to our cadets. No previous policing knowledge is required, support and training are given as well as there being other leaders there to support.
You will have the opportunity to accompany the cadets on expeditions, such as the Duke of Edinburgh expedition, as well as helping our police officers in riot training exercises. You will also assist and take part in other events, trainings and team building activities. Our cadet groups have 10 to 30 cadets (depending on location) who attend our weekly term-time meetings.
