Overview
Depending on the activity;
Transporting young carers to the activity, participating in the activity, supporting young carers to interact with others, supervising young carers, recording feedback from young carers about the activity, liaising with the Activities Co-ordinator to support logistics, reporting any safeguarding concerns or comments made by young carers to the Activities Co-ordinator.
School holidays and occasional evenings and weekends
Dates/times will be scheduled around 2 weeks before each holiday period. Evening and weekend events will be notified as far in advance as possible.
Activities run for either a half day or full day. Evening activities for around 2 hours.
Activities are delivered across the whole county, with young carers invited to activities within their local area.
To help transport young carers to activities and to supervise and participate in these activities, engaging with the young carers and helping them to socialise.
Be confident interacting with children and young people. Reliable and well organised to travel to different locations. Enjoy working with children and young people. Clear communication skills, patience, good sense of humour.
Basic training on office procedures will be given and future training which will be free will be discussed as necessary.
You need to be a car driver with business insurance.
