Overview
To help the Belper North Mill Trust achieve its aims, there are funding opportunities available. Our current capacity to apply for these is very limited and so we are looking for volunteers to investigate, write and monitor these bids.
As a fundraising volunteer for Strutt’s North Mill, you’ll be joining an amazing and creative team with the aim of sharing the fascinating history of Belper Mills and the Strutt family. You’ll be an organised individual who is happy to work alone but with the support of the trustees and volunteer officer. This role may not be a regular opportunity, but more as and when required, and can be done at home at a time to suit you but within the agreed time frame. You will need access to a computer or tablet to complete the work.
We recognise that volunteers are a vital human resource in developing and enhancing the work of Strutt’s North Mill and achieving its objectives as a heritage charity in the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. The Belper North Mill Trust is committed to providing opportunities for volunteers to practice and develop their skills offering them support, training and an enjoyable experience throughout their time with us. You’re also welcome to take on multiple volunteer roles should you wish to, and there is no minimum commitment.
On becoming a volunteer with us, you will have access to a wealth of information from our volunteer library, have the opportunity to attend talks, walks and trips, free on site parking, discount on our shop stock, and agreed travel expenses covered.
We really value and are incredibly grateful for the hard work of our volunteers. We couldn’t do it without them, and we thank you for considering giving your time to us.
