Overview
Amber Valley Stroke Group is looking for a female volunteer to help supervise our members during the Carers Afternoon Break at St Joseph’s RC Church Hall Ripley.
Carers leave their loved ones in our care, whilst they go off for some free time, and volunteers assist when needed, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Role Description
As a volunteer, you will:
Work alongside other volunteers with setting up of the tables and chairs before and after the meeting.
Provide friendly support and supervision for stroke survivors during the session.
Assist members when needed, including accompanying them for bathroom breaks.
Work alongside other volunteers to create a welcoming and secure space.
Offer reassurance and encouragement to participants.
Assist with serving refreshments.
